Compassion Champs founder and plant-based cycling athlete Dotsie Bausch is an Olympic silver medalist from the 2012 London Games, an 8-time U.S. National Champion, former world record holder, and two-time Pan American gold medal winner. As part of her mission to show that the world’s top-performing athletes can thrive on a compassionate plant-based diet, Dotsie launched an exciting campaign, XMilk, calling on Olympic & Ironman athletes to X their dairy milk sponsorships and allow Compassion Champs to connect them with plant-based sponsors instead.
Olympic & Ironman athletes embody exceptional strength, courage, and character, while the dairy industry is based on bullying some of the most defenseless and vulnerable beings among us: gentle cow mothers and their babies, whom the dairy industry tears apart. #xmilk #ditchdairy
While we can’t give away many details right now, we’re THRILLED to report that since the launch of this campaign, TWO of the athletes we’ve written to— one Olympic and one Ironman athlete— have already decided to X their Milk sponsorships after learning the truth about dairy, and have graciously agreed to let us work to match them with a plant-based sponsor instead!
While we can’t reveal their names until the New Year, we want to share this incredible news in hopes it will encourage others to join the growing movement of athletes— and non-athletes!— who are choosing a compassionate plant-based diet.
